Mrs. Georgeann McRaven

Director

Georgeann McRaven is the wife of Admiral Bill McRaven, USN, Retired. The couple has served in assignments across the United States, including tours in California, Washington D.C., Virginia, Florida and North Carolina, as well as two overseas assignments in the Philippines and Germany.

Throughout their time in the military, Georgeann put her accounting degree to work,
serving as treasurer for many volunteer organizations, including numerous spouse
groups and their children’s schools. Her most personally rewarding involvement,
however, has been the countless hours she has invested in projects benefitting
wounded veterans and supporting military families.

As a military spouse for 37 years, Georgeann is intimately familiar with the challenges
and pressures of the role. She is particularly passionate about supporting young
enlisted families and has spearheaded many projects for their care and welfare. While
serving as the wife of the commander of U.S. Special Operations Command,
Georgeann worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the service members and their
families through the Preservation of the Force and Families initiative and the Care
Coalition, which helps wounded warriors and the families of the fallen.

Georgeann is on the board of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a non-profit
organization that provides educational funding for children of the fallen SOF warriors.
Additionally, she serves on the board of Seton Foundation and is a National
Spokesperson for the Brain Health Project out of the University of Dallas, Center for
