Gifts to Endowed Scholarships perpetually support the education and formation of co-sponsored seminarians. A portion of the annual investment income generated underwrites the cost of the education and formation of co-sponsored seminarians. Co-sponsored seminarians are those young men who have signed an agreement with the Archdiocese for the Military Services and their local diocese/religious community, to enter the Military Chaplaincy following their ordination and a term of service to the local community.
A named Co-Sponsored Seminarian Scholarship can be created with a gift of $50,000. Once the fund reaches $500,000, it will fully underwrite the costs associated with the education and formation of one co-sponsored seminarian in perpetuity*.
