Ways to Give

Gifts to the Annual Fund help support the mission of the Saint John XXIII Foundation. The Annual Fund is a board-designated account that allows the Board of Directors to underwrite the costs of projects and programs supporting the practice of the faith of Catholics in the Armed Forces, Catholic patients in Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, and Catholic United States government personnel serving outside of the United States.

Gifts to the General Endowed Fund are an investment in the future of the Catholic Military and Veterans Administration Chaplaincy. Endowment gifts are invested in the Foundation’s investment portfolio. Each year, the Board of Directors makes a distribution from the investments to underwrite projects and programs in line with the mission and ministry of the Foundation.  Gifts to the Endowment are perpetual in nature and create a long-term and sustainable future for the ministry of the Foundation.

Gifts to an Endowed Co-Sponsored Seminarian Scholarship perpetually supports the education and formation of co-sponsored seminarians. A portion of the annual investment income generated underwrites the cost of the education and formation of co-sponsored seminarians, those young men who have signed an agreement with the Archdiocese for the Military Services and their local diocese/religious community, to enter the Military Chaplaincy following their ordination and a term of service to the local community. A named fund can be created with a gift of $50,000. Once the fund reaches $500,000, it fully underwrites the costs associated with the education and formation of one co-sponsored seminarian in perpetuity.
